You brought in quite a few nice tips there. I did a good solid lookup for this particular topic and discovered the majority of people would certainly agree along with your website. Many thanks

Thanks for what you shared Shane. I've been working through alot of this in the past year - with my family (of origin) my children (extending grace to them) as well as co-workers and church situation. The one thing in your list of "Four Promises of Forgiveness" is that these are all wonderfully true.....we should hold grudges, remind, etc., etc.

BUT, God has given us this wonderful brain that is there to keep us safe. Safe from "re-hurt", safe from returning to potentially harmful or tempting situations to fall into again. Safe from ourselves as well as others. Sometimes it means that a certain relationship should pull back or discontinue.

thanks again for your sharing - good stuff!

Thank you, Rob, for the passionate appeal regarding abortion. You demonstrate a righteous anger kindled to fight against a great injustice (and, yes, it does make me angry as well). My encouragement for you, and for other readers of this post, is two-fold:

1. It is an important step to develop passionate, thoughtful convictions on issues like abortion. It is an important next step to act on those convictions. I trust your zeal on the topic of abortion has you volunteering at a crisis-pregnancy center, writing kind, passionate and well-reasoned letters to your representatives, or otherwise putting feet to your passion and fighting against the injustice.

2. As we move toward God's character, grace, compassion, love and faithfulness are in the foreground, anger is in the background. Anger provides fuel that leads to action, but anger-dominated action does not accomplish the righteousness of God (James 1:20). Certainly not saying that is what you are doing, just wanted to add the caution.

Best,
Shane
